Most Hoopers
Plateau.
You Don't Have To.

Being a hooper these days is not easy. There's stuff that looks great on social media, and then there's stuff that actually works in real life. This is the second kind.

12 weeks. Six days a week. $147, one time.

Everybody On Your Feed
Is The Best Ever.

It might seem like every trainer or coach out there on social media is the best ever, and they're getting all of their athletes crazy results. But let's be honest — you and I both know that's just not true.

The clips are real. The results usually aren't. What you're watching is the one rep that looked good, filmed from the angle that made it look better, by someone whose actual job is making content.

The real question

What Separates Players Who Keep
Getting Better From Those That Plateau?

Random work Intentional work Season 1 Season 4
Both of them worked hard.

Effort was never the difference. Nobody plateaus because they stopped trying — they plateau because the work stopped being aimed at anything.

One of them worked on purpose.

Intentional and focused work to help build your strengths and eliminate your weaknesses. That's the whole answer, and it's why the gap opens up in year two, not week two.

The answer

"Intentional" Isn't A Vibe.
It's Four Decisions.

Every program either makes these on purpose or makes them by accident. Here's what gets decided before you touch a single weight.

01

What you're actually bad at

Not what's fun to train. Most players spend their off-season getting better at the thing they were already best at, then wonder why the game didn't change.

02

What order it goes in

You can't build power on top of a body that can't control itself. Sequence is why the same twelve exercises work for one guy and do nothing for another.

03

What it costs you

Every session takes something out of you that the court also needs. Training that ignores that isn't hard work, it's just a tax on your game.

04

What happens next

A workout is one day. A program is twelve weeks that know about each other. That's the difference between sore and better.

The off-season program

Twelve Weeks That Know
About Each Other.

Three blocks, four weeks each, six days a week. Every block sets up the one after it — which is the whole reason it works and a random workout doesn't.

Weeks 1–4

Movement & Mobility

Get the body doing what it's supposed to do before you ask it to do it fast or heavy. This is the block most players skip, and it's why most players stall in the third one.

Weeks 5–8

Strength & Power

Build the engine. Real loading, real progressions, with the movement quality from block one holding it all together so the strength actually transfers.

Weeks 9–12

Explosiveness & Pre-Season

Turn strength into something that shows up on the court, and walk into the first practice ready instead of spending three weeks catching up.

"His tailored approach not only has helped me gain noticeable speed and weight, but also added over 4 inches to my vertical leap. With his guidance, I've become more explosive, agile, and versatile on the court."

"I've seen huge strides in my body, speed, and overall movement year over year since I started working with Mike in 2018. I can move so much better through my hips, create more separation coming off of pindowns and DHO's, and have improved guarding in space."

"I felt like my body has made drastic changes over the years we've worked together. I would highly recommend athletes to come to you in the off seasons, so they can realize how much just lifting weights isn't that important."

Before you ask

The Questions Every Player Asks.

Will lifting make me slower or bulkier?
MIKE TO ANSWER — the single most common objection in basketball, and he has 26 years of evidence. Be blunt.
I'm 14. Am I too young to be lifting?
MIKE TO ANSWER — worth three or four sentences rather than one. Parents read this page too.
What if I don't have a full gym?
MIKE TO ANSWER — barbells, dumbbells and bands is the published requirement. Say what the substitutions are when equipment is short.
Can I run this during the season?
MIKE TO ANSWER — this is the off-season program. Say plainly what changes in-season and point at the in-season course.
What if I'm coming back from an injury?
MIKE TO ANSWER — where the line sits between modify and proceed, and go see somebody first. He needs to draw this one himself.
How much time does each session take?
MIKE TO ANSWER — say the real number even if it sounds like a lot.
Can I ask questions while I'm running it?
NICK TO WRITE — yes, in the community. Real differentiator and it drives community signups. Wording depends on how Circle access lands.
